Common Failures & Solving Method

  • Model D30

1. Beam output discontinuously

1.1 Within 30 seconds, there could be a problem with the board card.

1.2 More than 40 seconds, could be caused by laser tube protection mode. 

Please check as follows:

 (1) Voltage: Whether voltage is stable?

 (2) Temperature: Whether the ambient temperature is at 20℃to 30 ℃? Whether all the fans are running normally?

 (3) Signal:    *Whether connected and grounding properly. The grounding wire should be connected to the power supply of the laser tube.

* Whether there is any signal interference nearby?

1.3 Exclude above reasons, it is necessary to contact the after-sales service for repair.

2. No beam output at all

2.1 There isn’t beam output while the laser is running

(1) Please measure the voltage of the power supply. 48V is a normal value.

(2) Please do a short circuit connection with PIN1(orange &white wire) & PIN 3(green& white wire)) & PIN 7(brown &white wire), not test through the board card. Just twist these three cables together.

(3) After the action of forced beam output, If the beam output is normal, it indicates that the laser tube has no problem, then it needs to check whether there is a signal problem with the board card. On the contrary. If there is no beam output, it indicates that a problem with the laser tube and it is necessary to contact the after-sale service for repair.

2.2 The laser tube which unused for more than a week. There is no beam output when it starts to be used

(1) Please measure the voltage of the power supply. 48V is a normal value.

(2) Please check if the window mirror is contaminated. If there is contamination. it needs to be cleaned firstly before proceeding to the next step of testing.

(3) Please do a short circuit connection with PIN1(orange &white wire) & PIN3(green& white wire)) & PIN7(brown &white wire), not test through the board card. Just twist these three cables together.

(4) After the action of forced beam output, If the beam output is normal, it indicates that the laser tube has no problem, then it needs to check if there is a signal problem with the board card. On the contrary. If there is no beam output, it indicates that there could be a problem with the laser tube and it is necessary to contact the after-sales service for repair.

3. Power flux-weakening, Unclear and discontinuous marking.

3.1 Please check if the focus is aligned.

3.2 Please check if there is any contamination on the external optical lens.

Exclude above reasons, it is necessary to contact the after-sales service for Maintenance.


  • Model D60

1. Correct wiring method for positive and negative poles of power supply. 

As shown in the picture:

3.  Definition of wiring 

  • PIN 1(orange& white), accepts PWMTTL signal;
  • Short circuit connection with PIN3(green & white) and PIN7(brown & white);
  • Short circuit connection with PIN6(green) and PIN8(brown) to connect with GND.

4.  If the beam spot which at the beam outlet is not circular

 It is suggested that to install a beam expander at a distance of 5-10cm from the beam outlet window, it can get the best beam spot effect.

5. There is beam output when under the condition of low power, but no beam output when the power increased.

It is due to the power supply is insufficient.  

A power supply with 48V -1500W matches with the laser tube.

6. Power drop down and getting unclear marking

6.1 Check whether the voltage is stable; 

6.2 Check whether the window mirror is contaminated.

Exclude above reasons, it could be lack of gas. Then it necessary to contact the after-sales service for Maintenance.

7.For air-cooled laser tube, the optical device needs to keep the air duct unobstructed and pay more attention to dust protection.


  • Model T80 / T100 

1.The parameter of the power supply 

48V-1500W

2. The parameter of the chiller

If using a chiller, it requires a cooling with capacity of 1500W,

Velocity of flow≥5.7 L /min,Pressure 205-520Kpa

3. Definition of wiring

PIN 8(brown) connects PWM positive electrode

Short circuit connect with PIN2(orange) PIN6(green)

Short circuit connect with PIN1(orange & white), PIN3(green & white) and PIN4(blue)to connect with GND

4. If there is no beam output

4.1 Measure the voltage of the power supply, whether it gets an input with 48V; 

4.2 Please check if there is a high-level signal input for the PWM signal. 

4.3 Observe the status of the following three indicator lights:

a) The first light is the position signal light, the second light is the temperature alarm light, the third light is the power indicator light.

b) When power is on, the second and third lights are in a constant state. The first light will light up only when there is a signal. If it does not light up, it indicates that the signal has not been sent to the laser. If the light is on, but the laser still has no beam output, it is necessary to contact the after-sales service for maintenance.


  • Model M2-100 / M2-150

1. The parameter of the power supply

48V ≥ 2400W

2. The parameter of the chiller

It requires a cooling capacity of 2400W,

Velocity of flow ≥ 5.7 L/min,Pressure 205-520Kpa

3. Wiring definition  

PIN 7 connects PWM positive electrode;

PIN 20 connects PWM negative electrode;

Short circuit connect with PIN 3(orange) and PIN16;

The input signal of this type is a differential signal.

4. The function of the beam shaping mirror on the front

The function of the beam shaping mirror is to make the beam spot round.

As the laser power density is very high, it needs to pay attention to prevent dust and moisture from the window mirror.

5. If there is no beam output 

a) Please check whether the power supply is normal; whether there is any abnormal noise before no beam output; 

b) Whether there is pollution on the window mirror and beam shaping mirror.

c) The maximum power of the laser tube is requested not to exceed 60%. While the laser tube is working, it is necessary to add an enabling Pre-ionization function or pulse maintenance function, with a reference value of 3US5KHZ. 

d) If the laser is unused more than a week, it is necessary to let the laser tube running at a 10% duty cycle for 5 minutes, and after then increase the power to work.
